Keelboat replica  -  Lewis and Clark State Park, Onawa, IA.  This keelboat replica was constructed after painstaking research of original plans and sketches.  The boat is 55 ft. long, 8 ft. wide, and has 22 oars, plus a mast and sail.  It carried a crew of 25 and 12 tons of supplies.  Today, the keelboat and two pirogues are maintained by a dedicated and knowledgeable crew of volunteers.
